Doing some tests to see if Six-Star should be animated traditionally, or via CG with cel shading.
I'm leaning towards CG, to be honest... It has a faster turnaround and since we're not doing crazy particles, lighting, and textures, render times should be manageable. I'm wanting to do hand animated effects, though... Might be a nice visual style.
Anyway, here's the topology for Dane, one of the main protagonists. Seeing as it is cell shaded (or, will be), the some features had to be exaggerated even more than usual while others had to be smoothed.... I also put more loops and edges in there for emoting when animating (around the nose and mouth).
