A little bit of free-writing, just for this deviation.

Let's hope it jogs some creativity, eh?

"so... this is the great Prince of Dust?"
Deo spat on the ground as he spoke.
"Your strength has been greatly exaggerated."
Nikko knelt before the towering brute. His prostration was not from respect or fear. It was based on nothing but intense, crippling pain. Bolts of it shot up his body from the gigantic, gushing wound in his chest. Bits of the weapon were still lodged in his organs, the acidic blood unable to eat through them, keeping him from healing.
"Y-you're a new model"
Nikko pushed himself to speak as normally as possible. He was turned towards his enemy, with his right side hidden beneath his tattered coat. His hand creeping up to the bag, holding his inventory orbs.
Nikko had to keep talking, buying time.
"You attacked from head on, and I didn't even know you were there."
Deo smiled, his massive, armor clad upper body bowing to Nikko in acceptance of the recognition of his talents.
"The latest edition of stealth technology can bend any light around itself, even the frequencies you use, boy."

The pain was so intense, Nikko was hemorrhaging through his eyelids. Drips of burning blood trickled down his face, not to mention what it did to his eyes. But despite it, he kept his now grey pupils focused on his foe.
"In my own defense, I was caught unawares," Nikko forced a smile, his growling voice still vibrant. "So the right to gloat is a little waisted, isn't it?"
Deo clenched his teeth. The motors in his armor began whirring, working to hold back his strength, keeping him from breaking his own jaw.
"We are soldiers, child, you forfeited the right to let your guard down when you waged war on the lord, God, Oberon."
The sound of a chord being struck rang through Nikko's ears. He heard the crackle inside his abdomen. A large piece, blocking his blood flow, had just been broken apart. Anger always gave him strength. Maybe he wouldn't need his serum after all.
"Let's not get into a blaming match." Nikko's eyes closed.
Deo stepped forward, the armor on his hand finally reformed.
"Accepting your death? No more defiance?"
He was smiling, his eyes beginning to glow yellow.
"I'm disappointed. You are my purpose. If you give up, my creation would have been overkill."

Salyas was just waking up. Her arm had been broken, and she was bruised all down her back, but she was alive. Deo had slammed a tree into her side when he attacked.
She would have still been out, had it not been for the intense power being gathered across the clearing, to her left. Without opening her eyes, her mind took a look.
As she guessed, the hulking, mechanical monster couldn't be seen. He had no soul, no ability to gather energies. He was just simply a juggernaut, designed for strength. He was not what jorred her.
No. As Salyas' mind took everything in, her soul gasped. She saw a giant form standing behind a blackened figure, feeding off of it. The monster was a familiar one... A huge body, canine face, and long mane flowing down it's back. She had only seen it once, in reality, her friend's regressed state, the Altreice Dragon: Nikko's most formidable form.
But what she didn't understand was what Nikko was doing. He wasn't transforming. He seemed to be manifesting it as another spiritual creature. He was funneling it into a completely new soul, something separate from himself.
As she tried to figure it out, the beast turned it's head towards her. It spoke to her consciousness directly.
"I am not Prince Nikko."
Salyas' was nearly pushed into her unnatural sleep once more by the sheer force of the creature's mental powers. It made her mind swoon. And one must understand, to do this to a goddess is quite incredible.
"w-who are you?"
Her voice was like a whisper compared to this creature.
"I am he that dwells within the Prince."
Salyas' was again hit with the telepathic barrage.
"I am the collection, the amlagmation, what our clan once called 'Zenxecht'." The voice was something astonishing. It carried all negative emotions. Millions of different smaller voices, screaming, yelling, crying, all at the same time.
"What are you?" Salyas couldn't help but to ask. She knew everything about this land and nothing about Nikko's people.
"Like you, a god." It laughed, or, at least, it appeared to. "No, you would call me a devil. The devil."
It turned towards Nikko, still on the ground.
"No more questions, little goddess... I am here for a purpose."

Deo, face to face with the Prince, breathes out his anger.
"FIGHT ME, YOU WEAKLING."
Nikko opened his eyes once again. Blackness filled them. No longer bleeding, they almost illuminated with negative energy.
"You poor soulless creature..."
Deo watched for Nikko's lips to move, matching with the words that had been spoken... But his face was still.
"Nice trick, but you cannot scare what does not feel."
Deo brought his fist above his head, ready to strike Nikko down again.
"No trick," It came through the trees this time, the voice full of countless horrible screams and wails. "Just something you wouldn't understand, you bastard of a false prophet."
The brute spun around, facing the voice. Before his eyes, he saw the trees bend. He saw the long grass smashed to nothingness beneath giant steps. He saw a heavy mist, breathing from a mouth. But he did not see the creature causing any of it.
Wind. Lots of wind, blowing all around. Or was it truly wind?
In a flash, Deo was in the air, crunched as if in a vice. His armor, straining against the pressure, began to crack. Something had him, and would not let go.

Salyas and Nikko both watched on, as the screaming body of Deo was slammed deep into the ground, over and over again. Zenxecht did not care about fighting fair. He did not care about honor, or etiquette. He was an animal. He was a true devil.
Trees were ripped, uprooted as the body of cyborg flew through the air. An angry roar blasted through the clearing. Zenxecht was enjoying this. He had not been let out since Guwendain, Nikko's ancestor, was living.
He arrived at the trembling form of Deo slowly. the mechanical man was standing, at a ready stance. But nothing could prepare him. Unseen jaws opened, lowering around his body.
Deo's eyes widened as he was covered in the mist he had seen just moments before. He felt the razor sharp tip of an invisible fang against his back. He extended his arms, pushing the teeth away. But it was like trying to stop a planet of force on both sides. The jaws closed slowly.
"NO!"
Nikko's voice rang out, steady, and powerful. It made Zenxecht waver. His power feigned, and Deo fell through the once solid body.
The Devil looked up at his obvious master.
"I can destroy him."
"No," Nikko stood and the trees around him bent away. "I will not be indebted to you"
Zenxecht smiled at the materialistic nature of the interjection.
"as you wish... you know where I reside, be I needed."
Nikko nodded as the demon dissipated into the air. The energies he was using flooded back into the Prince, seeping in through the rapidly closing wounds.
Deo stood with ease, his wounds superficial, but his demeanor completely shattered. Rage replaces what seemed to be fear.
"YOU RELY ON EVERYTHING BUT YOURSELF!"
Nikko's coat dropped to the ground. His armor reforming. His claws emerging from his fingertips.
"Zenxecht is a part of me, he relies on my strength to exist."
He smiled, full grin.
"You are going to die by something much worse than him."
Deo spread his arms, clenching his fist. He glared at Nikko.
"And what would that be?"
Appearing behind him, using a new level of speed, Nikko pierces Deo's chest, straight through, from behind.
"Guess."

I just started writing because I was sick today, and felt depressed for doing nothing.

EDIT: While I was copying the text when originally posting, some sentences seem to have been destroyed. I have revised them only to be like the original typing I did in text pad. I have still not edited this for spelling, grammar, punctuation, or readability. In fact, just a few minutes ago, I read it through for the first time.

Neat. You're not a bad author :)

And there was only one conventions error that made me twitch, heh :P
