Malocites

The Malocites, full of hate and despair over the loss of their bodies, came after the last surviving remnants of their creations... the Althrians. They wished to use the genetics of their invention, which had traces of their own, to create a new race for their souls to inhabit...
First they came after a silver clad king who granted them masks which altered the frequency of the energy of their souls so they could have quasi physical bodies with which they could alter the world around them... In return they spared this king and set their sites on his enemy... The fabled 'Prince of Dust'
They painted the masks to look like mythic ghosts from Althrian stories... Fear inspires panic. Panic gives way to mistakes. The Malocites, pure evil in a concentrated form, find their way to Prince Nikko, a monster of enormous renown... Who will fear whom?

Actually a lot more detail in this mask than you would guess... the paint makes it really difficult to see in a still frame.
