Tower School Guard Sword

Description

My first try with GI portals...

More importantly, the first model of the VERY simple sword of the Tower Schools Guards.

Guardian Priestesses are the highest ranking priestess class below prime mistress. They control everything within the towers, from curriculum to diet. Guard Priestesses are also the captains of the small army housed in the Tower Schools.

While the Guardian Priestesses are, of course, female, the entire ranks of the Tower School Guards are male.

During a war early in the Tower Schools' history, it was discovered that roaming adversaries not acquainted with the Priestesses' unique powers were more apt to attack simply because they were female. Their patriarchal society was so ingrained that it seemed to them to be an easy target. The Priestess' counteracted this by enlisting a large group of male soldiers as a first deterrent. Over time, they became the front-linesmen... not so much to protect the priestesses... but actually used in the hopes that the much more powerful force waiting behind the Tower Schools' walls wouldn't need to be unleashed.

These guards were kept away from the Spirilings (priestesses in training) but could engage in any activity with an active priestess, as long as it did not distract either from their duties.

Single polygon objects that allow light to be accurately rendered when going through small openings, like windows and tv screens, etc. They allow indoor scenes to be rendered with better results. I didn't max out all the settings because of time and I used the distance blur to cover up some grainy-ness on the far wall but, overall it turned out well. (I think maybe the tint on the distance blur might have been a little too powerful, lol. I might tweak that later.)
